Driver Hours & Tachograph Regulations

Aims
• To ensure delegates are aware of current legislation and how it affects them in their daily working routine.
• To enhance road safety by adhering to the legislation applicable to the type of work being undertaken.
• To reduce the chances of fixed penalties or even criminal prosecution by clarifying the requirements of the various regulations.

Objectives
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
• Understand the various Legal and Moral reasons for Drivers Hours Legislation.
• Explain the evolution of the current regulations.
• Identify the scope of EU Regs 561/2006, 165/2014, AETR, Domestic Regs, Working Time Directive.
• Describe the features and operation of Recording Equipment 3821/85 & 165/2014.
• Outline the responsibilities of Drivers and Operators.
• Interpret Infringement Letters.
• Prepare Reports (e.g. Missing Miles).
